What is it?
VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a way to make phone calls
using the internet, rather than your normal telephone. You can
make and receive calls from other VoIP users, mobile and people
with ordinary telephones. In normal circumstances, the
integration between a normal telephone calls and VoIP call is
complete and undetectable to others.
Calling another person with a VoIP line
You simply dial the number for the person your calling. Your
special VoIP adaptor uses your current broadband internet
connection, which looks up the destination and sets up the call.
Thereafter, the voice call passes directly over the internet
between you and the person your calling. If they are also using
ezivoip this call is then carried at no extra cost to you or the
other party.
Calling a non-VoIP telephone service
When you call another person, who has a conventional normal
telephone or mobile telephone service, your special VoIP adaptor
uses your internet connection as stated before, however it looks
up the destination and finds it is a non ezivoip telephone
number. The call is routed via our dedicated telephone gateway
into the normal telephone network as a normal call. Thereafter,
traffic passes directly via the gateway, and into the users
providers network.
Why use it and who benefits?
Residential and small to medium-sized businesses with several
employees, to large corporations especially those with many
offices in multiple locations and teleworkers (people who work
from home), are likely to get the maximum benefit from VoIP.
Our ezivoip service will cuts your telephone bill costs; all
calls to other ezivoip phone users are free and other calls are
usually competitively priced.
Currently we charge 15c for local and untimed national calls,
that is if it is a normal telephone located in Australia the
most you will be charged is 15c per call, regardless of how
short or how long your call is, and when ever you feel like
calling... How does your current provider stack up
with that?
You can configure your ezivoip telephone system to give whatever
impression you want to your friends, relatives or customers. For
example, if you have associates or employees in other areas of
Australia or even overseas, you can give them all extensions on
the same number, or their own telephone number with the same
area code as your head office.
No-one need know whether you have city centre offices, or a
virtual office!
